Sections erred on the easy side as rain was in the air for this Oxford Ixion club championship affair at the versatile Cox's farm.

Four laps of ten were taken in with club Expert Stefan walters cleaning all sections at least twice to run out with a six point margin win which included a five on the sandy rooted turns of section eight.

Brother Darren was best Intermediate although section one caused many problems a fairly tight muddy turn with two boughs to clear before attempting a natural grown vee shaped tree and culminating with a limbo style low branch,Veteran observer Tom Mitson commented this must be longest ever section in South Midland Centre event.

Once again Adrian Steele gas Gas posted the best score on the alternative route with a loss of eleven in the clubman class riding the very slick and deep gully section five perfectly on two occasions.

Tony Sulivan aced the Twinshock class as did Ken O'Brien the Pre 65, Sully putting a faultless performance in at Jim Axfords probably sixty yards of mud - roots and more mud.

A handful of Youth B were out today and a steady ride by young Ben Hayes was enough to secure maximum championship points.

The Blue eased route seems be getting more popular and nineteen starters were headed home by K P McCullagh followed by Paul Wickson on what looked like a dog of a pinky Yam but he could ride the mud.

New to this game was young Ben Thornton and he weighed in with a Youth A Win whilst Martin Hayes was the Youth B winner blasting to the top of the big hill at every visit without penalty.
