Three Laps of Twelve testing sections were taken in at Cox's farm Beckley a trial that was the third round of the South Midland Centre Classic championship.
50 riders set off on their way around a two mile circuit all vying for championship points.
In the unit class Alan Taylor Triumph Cub posted the lowest score (classic)on the hard route losing 18 taking the premier award Norton Trophy.
Alan narrowly missing out on a clean sheet at section seven a tricky affair with a steep drop into a drainage ditch with an equally steep exit this section proved to be the mark taker of the day in all classes.
Dave Spurgeon 250 Greeves was on for the outright win when disaster struck at section 9 his front end sliding out of the sub on the soft sandy turn at the summit of a big climb but Dave kept his cool and went on to record a win in the Two Stroke class.Wma Expert Paul Casling also 250 Greeves was runner up today but nevertheless put some superb rides in at section three a tough downward job over low growing boughs poking eerily out of the swamp.
In the Pre Unit class Colin Mote 500 Ariel made his run over from Kent a worthwhile one as he aced this category with a loss of 25,Colin shifting the big Ariel into third gear at section four a really old fashioned 60 yard muddy blast the line changing at every visit.
Vmcc Clubman Julian Wade brought his immaculately turned out Rigid 350 Goldstar over for a days sport and lifted the best in class. Julian piloting the big BSA up the long sandy climb of section eleven to perfection.
A modest entry of Twinshock machinery on show today and the award winner was Stefan Walters Fantic. The little 200 met it's match though at sub12 an uphill marshland section that dug-out badly as the event unfolded.
A handful of Ixion members on modern bikes challenged the terrain on a non award basis with current club youth A champion Ben Hayes over from the Vale of Evesham just pipping brother Martin for the win.
On the Red eased route Ixion Veteran Paul Wickson 250 Greeves ran out a clear winner 6 marks ahead of Liam Anderson who was getting to grips with the mud by the end of the day.
Thanks to all who travelled far and wide to support our event and hope to see you all again
