A good entry of 65 riders fought hard for their 3rd round championship points at a muddy Cox's farm Beckley where four laps of ten sections were plotted.
The Trial also included a round of the South Midland Centre Novice Intermediate and 50/50 champs. Expert class winner was Scorpa mounted Robert Faulkner who tied on points with Darren Wheeler but got the verdict on the most cleans tie-break whilst Ben Hayes was best youth A on the hard route.Ben rode well at section ten a downhill approach to a fallen tree before turning up to be confronted by a steep off-set camber and only lost one mark after four visits.

Best Intermediate went to Kevin Miller who returned a score of 24 and best 50/50 was Mark Elms losing 28 ten of which went astray on section one a swampy old fashioned sub with many fallen boughs to work through.

On the white standard route Berko raiders Lee Borham and Rob Coleman took the first two spots in the Novice class with best overall on this course being youth B Martin Hayes who lost 33. Section six caused problems for all riders a new sub that started with a soft turn before dropping into a deep gully with an exciting natural uphill stream that deteriorated as the trial progressed this sub proved to be decisive and found the winner in most classes. Ex Moto-Crosser Geoff Pratt turned out on the 350 Bultaco and guided her around for a steady 39 marks lost to take the Twinshock class.

The ever popular Blue easy route was contested by 31 Ladies and Gentlemen with KP McCullagh dabbing twice to run out a clear winner ahead of Ixion Clubman Graham Lavis (14) whose 240 Fantic wasn't in the best of moods today. Worthy of a mention is young Alicia Robinson youth C who was having a great day finishing mid table on the Blue course and only losing two marks on the final four sections all of which included very long and steep climbs.
